Classification of papermaking Felt:

According to the position of the felt on the paper machine and the role it plays, it can be further classified as follows: 

Paper Machine Press felt used for Kraft paper,Test Liner, Brown paper ect, GSM1000 - 1800 , CFM 70 - 150.

As usual named 1st Press Top Felt, 1st Press bottom Felt, 2nd Press top felt and 2nd Press bottom felt, 3rd Press felt.

Paper machine felt used for crescent tissue machine,toilet paper machine, GSM 1200 -1250, CFM 20-25 

As usual only have one forming fabric and Press Felts in the Crescent former tissue machine, Machine speed form 250MPM to 1500MPM.

Pick Up felt used for cylinder mould paper machine , GSM 850 -1250GSM , CFM 50- 160CFM 

As usual only have one Pick up felt to pick up paper sheet from cylinder mould, machine speed from 150MPM - 500Mpm.
