During a recent factory visit, we conducted a live test run of a custom-built plastic shredder for a client from Nigeria. The demonstration was recorded on video and clearly illustrates the machine’s capability: powered by a diesel engine, it processes plastic waste into uniformly sized fragments with consistent speed and stability. The client expressed strong satisfaction with the results and is now preparing to deploy the equipment in their home market.

The client operates a plastic recycling business in Nigeria, a region where electricity supply remains notoriously inconsistent. Frequent power interruptions and voltage fluctuations pose serious obstacles to the continuous operation of conventional electric-driven recycling machinery. These conditions not only reduce production capacity but also increase maintenance costs and operational uncertainty. To sustain growth and maintain competitiveness, the client required a shredding solution that could function autonomously from the national grid.

In response to these specific requirements, we designed and manufactured a custom plastic shredder incorporating several key features:

• Diesel Engine for Uninterrupted Operation – The shredder is equipped with a high-performance diesel engine that ensures reliable functionality regardless of external power availability. This design allows the client to maintain scheduled production without disruption.

• Custom Branding – The machine housing was finished with the client’s corporate logo, reinforcing brand identity and presenting a professional appearance that aligns with their business image.

• User-Friendly Design – Operational simplicity was prioritised throughout the design process. Intuitive controls and accessible maintenance components enable straightforward use and servicing, making the equipment suitable for teams with varying technical experience.

The successful factory demonstration confirmed that the shredder meets all performance and reliability criteria. Our client departed with confidence in the equipment’s ability to support their operational goals in the Nigerian market.
