Single Shaft Shredder Delivers Compact Power for Plastic Recyclers

The recycling industry has a new workhorse. Our latest 630/800mm single shaft shredder combines compact dimensions with industrial-grade performance, targeting small to medium-sized plastic processing operations that need reliable size reduction without excessive capital investment.

This machine is built around a Ø400mm rotor driven by a 37kW motor. Rotor speed is maintained at 73-78 RPM — slow enough to minimize noise and dust, fast enough to maintain productive throughput. The hydraulic pusher system ensures consistent material feeding, eliminating the bridging issues common with lightweight film and woven bag scrap.

Blade configuration features 2 fixed blades and 51 rotor blades made from D2 tool steel. Each rotor blade offers four usable cutting edges, extending service life and reducing maintenance costs. Interchangeable screens allow output size adjustment from 30mm to 100mm, accommodating diverse downstream requirements.

Applications include plastic lumps, pipes, films, woven bags, and general injection or extrusion waste. Capacity ranges from 300 to 500 kg/h depending on material and screen selection. The low-speed design also reduces energy consumption per ton processed, contributing to lower operating costs over time.
