Suction Press Roll Basis Information
Vacuum press roll is primarily used in medium and high-speed paper machines. The upper roller of the vacuum press is a stone roller, while the lower roller is a vacuum roller.
The roll shell is constructed from bronze or stainless steel, with shell thickness determined by required stiffness and strength. Under consistent speed and vacuum conditions, thicker roll shells result in reduced dewatering capacity.
In high-speed papermaking, moisture in the felt and wet paper is extracted through the roller's eyelets, circulates around the vacuum suction area, and is then expelled into the white water pan by the roller's centrifugal force.
Vacuum rollers with thin shells made of high-strength metal significantly improve press dehydration efficiency.
