Mining hydrocyclones are commonly applied in gold ore, iron ore, copper ore, lead-zinc ore, lithium ore, silica sand, coal slurry, and tailings recovery systems. Working Principle
The slurry is fed into the cyclone tangentially under pressure, generating a high-speed rotating flow inside the cyclone body. Under centrifugal force:
- Coarse and heavy particles move toward the outer wall and discharge from the underflow outlet.
- Fine and light particles move upward through the vortex finder and exit from the overflow outlet.
This continuous separation process provides accurate particle classification and improved grinding efficiency.
