Geosynthetic clay liners (GCLs) are high-performance needle-punched environmental reinforced composites that combine two durable geotextile outer layers with a uniform core of natural sodium bentonite clay to form a hydraulic barrier.

When hydrated under a confining load, the bentonite swells to form a low-permeability clay layer with the equivalent hydraulic protection of several feet of compacted clay.

• Environmentally Friendly: Made from natural materials with minimal aging and corrosion. Maintains quality without causing pollution or harm to humans or the environment.
• Permanent Waterproofing: Superior performance with permeability below a*10-11/sec (a=1~9) at 3mm thickness, equivalent to 100 times the density of 30mm thick clay.

• Subgrades must be tamped before paving, with a smooth surface free of obvious hollow spaces
• Surface should be dry before installation
• Minimum angle of land surface exposed to sun should be more than 30cm
• Construction should begin only after foundation inspection
